I have been in the fitness industry since 1985 teaching all types of exercise classes at some of the most prestigious Health Clubs in London and have been personal training since 1988.
My involvement in the Martial Arts started in 1984 and I currently hold black belts in Kung Fu (3rd Degree) and Karate (2nd Dan). I am also a former Kung Fu World Champion!
In the mid to late 1990s I ran my own private Sports Injury Clinic in South London and have run Sports Therapy / Massage Clinics at several Health Clubs in South London and Canary Wharf.
Between May 2003 and February 2006 I was a Tutor of Sports Massage / Therapy for Premier Training, one of the leading providers of Personal Training and Sports Therapy tuition in the UK and I write articles for the BKK* magazine.
I have also lectured in Sports Massage at Croydon College where I drafted the entire Sports Massage syllabus, course work and assessment and taught Sports Development, Sports Nutrition and Voluntary Sports Clubs, all as part of the BTEC National Diploma in Sports and have taught Level 3 CYQ Cert. Sports Massage at Carshalton College (May – June 2015) as well as BTEC Level 3 Sports Science Diploma, also at Carshalton College (March – July 2016). My teaching has extended to West Thames College and City of Westminster College.
Until August 2014 I offered Personal Training, Sports Therapy and Sports Massage at Virgin Active Streatham and I continue to assist athletes from Herne Hill Harriers with their injuries and Old Thorntonians FC with their pre-season SPARQ.
As an educator I will run my own course in Orthopaedic Assessment and Sports Injury Screening having achieved accreditation from the FHT for my one day workshop ‘Orthopaedic Assessment of the Knee’.
My Sports Therapy & Sports Massage services are available at Crystal Palace Osteopaths 10 Westow Street, Crystal Palace, SE19 3AH and Streatham Osteopaths, 114 Moyser Rd, Streatham, SW16 6SH.
